The Devonshire HOA Board has finalized the 2026 contract and seasonal timetable with our dedicated commercial groundskeeping team. As a small, cohesive neighborhood, our goal is to keep Devonshire’s shared entrance, perimeter buffers, and common green spaces looking pristine, healthy, and uniformly maintained through the remainder of the year.
Below is the full breakdown of weekly routines, upcoming seasonal treatments, and helpful tips for residents regarding property lines and common turf care.
Weekly Routine Services
Beginning weekly through mid-November (weather permitting), crews will service all Devonshire common turf areas:
Mowing & Trimming: Every Thursday morning (starting around 8:00 AM). In the event of heavy rain or severe storms, service will roll over to Friday morning.
Edging & Blowing: Concrete walkways, curbs along the common island, and the main entrance signage bed are edged and blown clear immediately after each mow.
Trash & Litter Sweep: Crews complete a perimeter walk to clear loose litter, fallen branches, and storm debris from common turf before mowing starts.
Seasonal Grounds Work & Fall Timetable
In addition to regular mowing, our grounds contractor will carry out scheduled treatments across the subdivision’s shared spaces:
| Target Timeline | Service / Maintenance Activity | Scope & Impact |
| Late September | Fall Weed Control & Core Aeration | Aeration across the main entrance berms and common green to promote deep root growth. |
| Mid-October | Shrub Trimming & Perennial Cutbacks | Pruning decorative grasses, hydrangeas, and entrance foundation plantings for winter. |
| Late October – November | Common Leaf Removal (2 Cycles) | Vacuuming and mulching leaves along shared easements and perimeter tree lines. |
| Early November | Irrigation Winterization & Blowout | Shutting down backflow valves and clearing lines across the automated entrance sprinkler system. |
What Residents Need to Know
To help our grounds crews work safely and efficiently, we kindly ask all homeowners to keep the following in mind:
Keep Common Turf Clear on Thursdays: If your property borders common open space or the neighborhood perimeter, please ensure personal hoses, toys, lawn chairs, or temporary pet lines are pulled back onto private patio areas by Wednesday evening.
City of Naperville Curbside Collections: Remember that private yard waste and bagged leaves are collected weekly on regular garbage days via Naperville/Groot services. Fall bulk curbside leaf collection schedules from the City of Naperville will be shared in a separate update.
Sprinkler Head & Grounds Concerns: If you notice a damaged sprinkler head, pooling water, or low-hanging branches encroaching on sidewalks in common areas, please notify the board directly.
