Downtown Naperville Riverwalk Outing Group
Published: September 12, 2026
Category: Community & Social
Organizer: Devonshire Neighbors Group
One of the best perks of living in Devonshire is having the heart of Naperville right in our backyard. To take advantage of the early fall weather, neighbors are gathering for a casual, recurring evening walk along the Naperville Riverwalk.
Whether you want to get your evening steps in, walk the dog, or connect with fellow residents outside of formal HOA meetings, everyone is welcome.
Outing Details & Meet-Up Schedule
When: Every Tuesday evening through October, departing promptly at 6:15 PM.
Starting Point: The Devonshire main entrance sign (corner walkway).
Route: A relaxed 45-minute loop heading along the paved paths toward the Riverwalk covered bridge and back (approx. 2 to 2.5 miles total).
Pace: Casual and conversational—strollers, leashed dogs, and all fitness levels are encouraged to join.
What to Bring
Comfortable walking shoes
A water bottle
A light jacket or layer as evening temperatures begin to dip
Leash and waste bags if you are bringing your dog
Post-Walk Refreshments (Optional)
On the last Tuesday of each month, the group plans to make a short stop at a local downtown café or ice cream shop along Main Street or Jefferson Avenue before heading back into the neighborhood.
Stay Connected
No formal RSVP is required—just show up at the entrance walkway a few minutes before 6:15 PM ready to walk. If there is active rain or inclement weather, we will cancel that evening’s walk and resume the following week.
